The GEF always encourages real ‘hands on’ learning – especially when it comes to digging in the dirt! Mrs. Kelley Taylor’s Goochland Elementary School third graders were able to play in the dirt while learning about soil, the water cycle, and plants. They made soda bottle terrariums and each student was able to take one home to watch it grow as part of virtual learning. This is the kind of creativity that teachers have demonstrated during the challenging school year. The GEF is thrilled to support them to help our students continue to develop strong STEM and 21st century skills in spite of the challenges. Thank you, Mrs. Taylor!
